Residence for Tuition Purposes Committee

The Charge to the Committee on Residence for Tuition Purposes is to act on cases referred by the Registrar or Cashier, or appealed by a student, with respect to liability for tuition customarily charged a nonresident of the state. Recommendations are made on resident status for tuition purposes only and have no bearing on matters of admission. The committee will also coordinate hearings to resolve appeals of the rescission of student financial aid awards, which were previously managed by the Student Financial Aid Committee.

The membership of the Residence for Tuition Purposes Committee is comprised of:

Chair: 1 Faculty Chair, appointed by Faculty Council.

Faculty: 6 Faculty Members, appointed by Faculty Council (Standing Committee Survey), 3-year terms
Staff: 1 Staff Member appointed by the Staff Advisory Council (need not be member), 3-year terms
Undergraduate Students: 4 students appointed by the Missouri Student Association (MSA),1-year terms
Graduate/Professional Students 1 student appointed by the Graduate Professional Council (GPC), 1-year terms
