Council for Inclusive Excellence

Charge

The charge to the Council for Inclusive Excellence (formerly known as the Minority Affairs Committee) is to assess and to make recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity regarding the programs, policies and services for minority students, faculty and staff.

Council for Inclusive Excellence Goals for 2023-2024 Academic Year:

  1. Reactivate committee and ensure continued operation.
  2. Policy and Procedure Changes; Revise Bylaws (add a Secretary, etc.).
  3. Assess the availability of Emergency Funding for Students.
  4. Focus on key areas of campus support:
    1. Increase in Neurodivergent Student Support Resources
    2. Increase International Student and Faculty Support in our DEI efforts.
    3. Support Recruitment Efforts.
