Charge

The charge of the Honorary Degrees Committee is to recommend to the Board of Curators, through the Faculty Council, the names of individuals to be considered for honorary degrees at commencement. The Committee will also recommend recipients for other University honors as requested by the Chancellor.

Membership

The membership of the Honorary Degrees Committee is composed of:

Chair: 1 Chair selected by Faculty Council.

Faculty: 10 Faculty Members, at large (Standing Committee Survey), 3-year terms

Staff: 1 Staff Member appointed by the Staff Advisory Council (need not be member), 3-year term

Designees (non-voting) appointed by the bodies they represent
Office of the Chancellor
Office of the Provost
