Charge: To assess and make recommendations to University leaders regarding new and revised policies and practices affecting non-tenure track faculty holding a ranked faculty title.
The Non-Tenure Track Faculty Committee Goals for the 2025-2026 academic year will be posted during the Fall 2025 semester.
The 2024-2025 Non-Tenure Track Faculty Committee Goals:
- Move forward with a proposal to rename ‘Non-Tenure Track Faculty’ to ‘Professional Track Faculty’.
- Clarify the timeline and structure of NTT faculty contracts.
- Clarify promotion guidelines for NTT faculty.
The Membership of the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Committee is composed of 14 Ranked Faculty Representatives.
The committee chair is selected by the committee from among its elected members.
Committee Support is provided by the Office of the Provost
- One representative selected by each of Mizzou’s academic schools and colleges
- One representative selected by Extension
- One representative selected by Mizzou Libraries
- One representative selected by The MU Faculty Council on University Policy, serving as liaison to the Faculty Council
- Ex-Officio member, Provost Designee, non-voting
