Library Committee

Charge

The Library Committee is charged with making recommendations to university leaders concerning the continued improvement of the library collection and services. The committee addresses academic matters related to library policies and programs, ensuring that the library meets the needs of faculty, students, and staff.

Priorities for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

  • Fostering a culture of recognition and appreciation within the Libraries by implementing meaningful and consistent strategies that acknowledge staff contributions and enhance morale.
  • Contributing to the translation of the key themes of the institutional strategic plan into actionable initiatives within the Libraries, aligning our efforts to support and advance the broader institutional goals and achievements.
  • Providing feedback and insights on library initiatives, ensuring that the perspectives of faculty, staff, and students inform decision-making and contribute to the continuous improvement of library services and resources.
  • Advocating for the Libraries by making recommendations to University leadership on the enhancement of library collections and services.
  • Offering recommendations on academic matters related to library policies, programs, and their alignment with the University’s mission.
